Job summary

Percival Street Bakery in Rangiora, part of Cartwright Catering Group, is seeking a friendly Bakery Assistant for a flexible part-time role.

You'll help with espresso coffee, serving customers, bakery sales, cleaning, and occasional deliveries. The position offers weekday and Saturday shifts with Sundays closed. No formal barista experience required, but hospitality experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or cafe environment is preferred.
• Barista experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Able to lift 10–15 kg when required and work in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to learn and provide friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

• Preparing quality espresso coffee (not essential but welcomed).
• Serving customers and processing payments.
• Assisting with bakery sales and food service.
• Clearing tables and maintaining a clean environment.
• Washing dishes and general cleaning duties.
• Occasional delivery driving and other duties as required.
