Job summary

AECOM is offering a Cost Management Intern position in New Zealand for Nov 2026. You will work with experienced professionals on pre- and post-contract activities, gaining hands-on experience in cost planning, tendering, reporting, and change control.

This 12-week paid internship (mid-November to mid-February) provides real project exposure across iconic projects in Australasia, with mentorship from senior leaders and the potential pathway into AECOM's Graduate Program.

Qualifications

• Summer Intern attributes: interns who are curious and excited to apply their studies in a professional environment; strong communication and teamwork skills, a positive and proactive attitude.
• Bachelor's Degree: You must be in your penultimate year of a Bachelor's or Postgraduate degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or any related discipline.
• Commencement: Able to work full time hours from 16 November 2026 - 19 February 2027.
• Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in New Zealand before applying.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Cost Planning: Help with cost modelling and planning to support project budgeting and financial forecasting.
• Support Tendering Activities: Participate in managing tender processes and documentation to aid procurement efforts.
• Contribute to Reporting: Assist in preparing financial and due diligence reports that inform project decision-making.
• Help Manage Change Control: Support the review and management of change control procedures to ensure commercial accuracy throughout project delivery.
