Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes seeks a Consultant General Paediatrician with a special interest in Behavioural or Developmental Paediatrics to join Rotorua/Taupō services. The permanent, part-time role (0.75 FTE) is based at Rotorua Hospital and involves evaluating and managing a wide range of paediatric conditions with a focus on behavioural and developmental issues.

You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contribute to clinical practice and service development, and mentor

Qualifications

• Specialist qualifications in Paediatric Medicine (e.g., FRACP or equivalent).
• Experience and interest in Behavioural or Developmental Paediatrics.
• Ongoing professional development and reflective practice.
• Must be eligible for MCNZ registration in a relevant scope.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage a broad spectrum of paediatric conditions with emphasis on behavioural/developmental aspects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and contribute to service development.
• Provide high-quality clinical care while supporting education of trainees and students.
