Job summary

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitemata District invites applications for a Permanent Full-time Registered Nurse in PACU at the Tōtara Haumaru campus. You will provide postoperative care for surgical patients across Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, ORL, General Surgery and Plastics, within a fast-paced perioperative team.

Ideal candidates are NZ Registered Nurses with Annual Practising Certificate, with a minimum of 2 years PACU experience and at least 3 years RN experience in acute

Qualifications

NZ registered nurse with Annual Practising Certificate.
Minimum 2 years PACU experience.
Paediatric experience advantageous.
At least 3 years experience as RN in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

Provide postoperative care for surgical patients in Orthopaedics, Gynaecology, Urology, ORL, General Surgery and Plastics.
Coordinate with the perioperative team to ensure timely and safe care.
Monitor and respond to patient needs in PACU, ensuring safety and comfort.
Document care provided and maintain accurate records.
