Job summary

University of Auckland seeks a Career Development & Employability Consultant - Pacific to empower Pacific and Māori students to build confidence and employability skills. You will lead Te Haerenga, develop workshops, and provide coaching across faculties and external partners.

You will collaborate with academic staff, employers and communities, applying graduate recruitment knowledge and labour market trends to enhance student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a tertiary qualification in career development, education, counselling, HR or related discipline.
• Experience supporting Māori and Pacific students or communities.
• Strong coaching, mentoring, facilitation and presentation skills.
• Ability to design and deliver workshops and student development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery, evaluation and continuous improvement of Te Haerenga, the Māori and Pacific Employability Programme.
• Design and facilitate specialised workshops, coaching sessions and events for students.
• Collaborate with faculties, employers, community organisations and internal stakeholders to create inclusive career initiatives.
• Support graduate outcomes, employability education and work-integrated learning initiatives.
