Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Porter to become a part of our vibrant and friendly Hotel team!

We are looking for enthusiastic applicants who know how to impress our guests, ensuring a warm, friendly and efficient welcome at every interaction with a hotel guest or visitor. Team players who will provide the highest levels of customer service while ensuring professionalism and efficiencies every time a guest enters the hotel.

This part-time permanent role at Sudima Christchurch City requires a minimum of 20 hours per week. A full driver's license is required. You need to be flexible and have the ability to work overnight shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Providing a warm and welcoming environment within our hotel where everyone feels at home.
  • Assisting with valet parking and luggage.
  • Supporting the Duty Manager with guest requests/tasks
  • Resolve any guest issues promptly and successfully ensuring follow-up and excellent communication at all times
  • Hotel security floor checks
  • Providing local information on Christchurch and the surrounding area
  • Help guests with booking activities, restaurants, and travel options
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment in all common areas, both inside and outside the hotel
  • Fix minor technical issues, like changing bulbs, remote control batteries
  • Comply with health and safety regulations and follow emergency evacuation procedures
