Job summary

FMTurner Ortho LTd – Waitakere, North Island is seeking an orthodontic assistant to join our busy specialist practice. You will support orthodontists with a full range of clinical work and deliver high-quality patient care.

The role involves assisting, instrument sterilisation, digital records, model pouring and trimming, plus some administrative duties. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is required.

• Previous dental experience is essential.

Responsibilities

At Totara Orthodontists we are looking for anorthodontic assistant with a caring disposition and a sunny personality to join our busy specialist orthodontic practice. The role will suit a happy, motivated individual who is dedicated to providing superiorpatient care and is confident in supporting and contributing to our dynamic team.

Clinical duties include assisting the orthodontists with theirfull range of orthodontic clinical work, patient education and care, instrument sterilisation, taking digital patient records, pouring and trimming models, and performing some administrative duties. PREVIOUS DENTAL EXPERIENCE IS ESSENTIAL.

Enthusiasm, reliability, a positive attitude and attention to detail are essential, as well as being a team player. Our practice prides itself on being technologically advanced, and the successful candidate will gain tremendous skills and experience in digital orthodontics.

Key skills: excellent computer skills essential, works well in a team, friendly, caring, excellent clinical ability, uses their initiative, highly motivated and has excellent communication skills and is empathetic.
