Job summary

Irrigation Services Orchards Ltd in Clive, North Island, is seeking a reliable and practical team member for hands-on orchard work. You will operate tractors and sprayers, assist with irrigation and maintenance, and complete seasonal tasks.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years' experience operating tractors or farm/orchard machinery.
• NZ driver's licence is required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
• Basic maths skills for measurements and chemical mixing.
• Good practical skills and understanding of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractors, weed sprayers, mowers, mulchers and other orchard machinery.
• Mix, measure and apply sprays safely and accurately.
• Record spray applications and report faults.
• Undertake basic machinery maintenance and repairs.
• Complete seasonal orchard tasks and assist with irrigation and infrastructure maintenance.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

Irrigation Services Orchards Ltd – Clive, North Island

We are looking for a reliable and practical person to join our orchard team.

This is a hands‑on role with a variety of work. No two days are the same - one day you might be operating tractors and sprayers, and the next you could be helping with irrigation or other orchard maintenance tasks.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, looks after equipment, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

What you'll be doing

• Operating tractors, weed sprayers, mowers, mulchers and other orchard machinery
• Mixing, measuring, and applying sprays safely and accurately
• Recording spray applications
• Carrying out basic machinery maintenance and reporting any faults
• Completing seasonal orchard tasks as required
• Assisting with irrigation system and orchard infrastructure maintenance
• Undertaking practical repairs, including fencing and minor maintenance work
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Helping with other orchard tasks as priorities and seasonal demands change

What we're looking for

Ideally, you will have:

• 2 to 4 years' experience operating tractors or farm/orchard machinery
• Experience using tractor implements (spraying experience is an advantage)
• A full New Zealand driver's licence
• The ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Basic maths skills for measurements and chemical mixing
• Good practical skills and an understanding of machinery
• A good level of fitness for outdoor physical work
• Most importantly, we're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and willing to help where needed. You should be comfortable adapting to changing priorities and working as part of a team.

The role will be based at various sites in and around the Clive and Havelock North areas. Hours of work will be range from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday to Saturday, with a guaranteed 30 hours paid work per week. As orchard work is seasonal and weather dependent, flexibility with working hours is important.
