The Ophthalmology Department at Dunedin Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Optometrist to join our team. Our service employs a multidisciplinary team-based approach to provide optimal patient care. The optometry position is a key component of this team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge across various subspecialty fields, including retinal, glaucoma, paediatric, acute, and general pathologies. The environment includes elective treatments, acute services, departmental teaching, and professional development opportunities.
You will work autonomously and collaborate with the Ophthalmology team to deliver patient-centered care. We welcome applications from new graduates.
Requirements: Current registration and practicing certificate as a New Zealand Optometrist and Dispensing Optician are essential.
This role is covered by the PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement, with a salary between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a.) and Step 8 ($110,210 p.a.) on the Degree-based Allied, Public Health, and Technical Pay Scale.
