Job summary

Oscar Wylee’s Auckland CBD store is seeking an Optical Dispenser and Keyholder for a full-time, on-site role. You’ll work closely with the Store Manager, blending eyewear fashion with patient care, dispensing lenses and frames according to prescriptions from our Optometrists, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced retail setting.

You’ll contribute to opening and closing duties, develop relationships with customers, and enjoy perks like free glasses every six months and family

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience in optical industry, or 2+ years retail sales experience.
• Reliable with store opening/closing duties.
• Strong attention to detail with basic mathematical skills.
• Confident, proactive worker with strong communication skills.
• Capable of building trusting and respectful relationships with customers and colleagues.
• A go-getter with a positive and friendly manner, ready to provide customers with outstanding service!

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Store Manager to gain commercial and operational experience.
• Provide outstanding eye care and eyewear styling advice tailored to each patient and potential clientele who enter the store.
• Dispensing lenses and frames based on the prescription of each patient, provided by our Optometrists.
• Building meaningful and affirming relationships with our patients—give them a reason to visit us again!
• Assisting with the opening and closing procedures daily.
