Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is seeking an experienced Ophthalmology RN to provide patient care across a range of ophthalmic conditions and treatments at Wellington Hospital. The role supports nurse-led clinics, diagnostic clinics, and minor procedures.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative multidisciplinary team, work across sites as needed, and bring strong Te Tiriti o Waitangi capabilities and a willingness to become an intravitreal injector.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmology experience is required.
• Strong cultural competence including Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
• Registered Nurse with APC and readiness to inject intravitreally.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients across ophthalmic conditions and procedures.
• Support nurse-led clinics, diagnostic clinics, and minor procedures.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver ophthalmic treatments.
• Assist and coordinate clinic flow across Wellington Hospital and other sites as needed.
