Job summary

WM New Zealand is seeking a Recycling Operator for our Queenstown facility. This permanent full-time role offers on-the-job training and a supportive, safety‑driven team environment.

You will sort materials like plastic and cardboard, perform cleaning duties, and help deliver high‑quality recycling services to the community. Training is provided; a Class 1 driver’s licence is desirable.

What you’ll be doing:
Working alongside your teammates, you’ll play a key part in keeping recyclables moving through our facility. Your responsibilities will include:

• Sorting materials such as plastic and cardboard
• Carrying out cleaning duties to maintain a safe and tidy worksite
• Supporting our goal of delivering high-quality recycling services to the community

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:
This is a fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same. Experience isn’t essential – we’ll provide all the training you need. What matters most is your:

• Willingness to learn and grow with us
• Reliability and teamwork mindset
• A full Class 1 driver’s licence is desirable, and F and W endorsements would be a bonus

Additional Information

• Permanent full-time role
• Location: Queenstown
• 40 hours per week, rostered Monday to Friday between 7:00am and 5:00pm
