Job summary

Higgins in Hawke’s Bay is seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead day-to-day maintenance across the network, delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. You will report to the Operations Manager and guide Supervisors, crews, and subcontractors to meet contract requirements and client expectations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience supervising and delivering maintenance operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing operational teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of road maintenance activities, including cyclic, reactive, and emergency works.
• Experience with RAMM/AWM and other client-mandated systems.
• Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to identify risks, solve problems and make sound operational decisions.
• Demonstrated commitment to health and safety leadership.
• Full Class 1 driver's licence.

Job description

Higgins is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to join our Hawke's Bay Maintenance team and help deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality maintenance outcomes across the network.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day delivery of cyclic, reactive, winter, and emergency maintenance activities, providing leadership to Supervisors, crews, and subcontractors. You'll play a critical role in coordinating operational resources, driving performance, promoting a strong safety culture, and ensuring works are delivered to contract requirements and client expectations.
