Description:

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Operations team at Marsh. This role will be based in our Christchurch office.

As an Operations Specialist, you will provide support to Client Facing Brokers in all aspects of administration and technical support through the accurate, efficient, and timely production of policies and related documentation. This role will demonstrate technical proficiency, responsible for completing a defined set of processes and tasks within the end-to-end insurance broking lifecycle, ensuring that processes and tasks assigned to them are completed seamlessly and in line with agreed standards of time to complete, accuracy and productivity.

We will count on you to:

  • Responsible for the servicing of our NZ local businesses ensuring growth targets and service standards are met.
  • Providing assistance in all aspects of client service to key internal stakeholders
  • Delivering accurate, efficient, and timely Administration & Technical support – such as insurance placement documentation, invoicing, updating computer records and premium funding documentation
  • Developing effective working relationships with our internal broker network
  • Gaining exposure to the wider insurance industry via liaising with Underwriters on behalf of the broker network.
  • Actively support and collaborate with colleagues at all levels to achieve the best outcomes for our clients and the Company.

What you need to have:

  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Excellent organisation skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a team
  • Comfortable and experience working with technology (solutions)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) – Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Preferable with insurance knowledge

  • Graduate or administrator with 1-2 years previous insurance or financial services experience preferred
