Job description

Ōpōtiki District Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager – Three Waters to lead and manage the efficient operation, maintenance and compliance of Council’s Three Waters assets and services, including reticulation and treatment plants.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have excellent operations management skills (network operations preferred) and proven experience in that space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operation, maintenance and compliance of Council’s three waters assets and services in accordance with regulations, requirements, agreed levels of service and good practice
  • Collaborate with assets team to ensure consents are current, compliant and monitoring and reporting is carried out in timely manner
  • Manage condition assessments, maintenance and renewal projects
  • Develop, resource, communicate, implement and review operations and maintenance framework
  • Provide advice to Council on Operational three waters matters and opportunities

You will have:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in leadership/management
  • Some experience in Three Waters management
  • The ability to demonstrate relevant training, qualification or experience
