Magnetic Recruitment is seeking an Operations Manager / Certifying Plumber in Auckland to lead a small team and oversee day-to-day operations for a trusted plumbing business. You will certify work, manage client relationships and drive service excellence.
Reporting to the owner, you’ll coordinate workloads, stay hands-on during peak periods, and maintain high safety standards while growing the operation across residential, commercial and body corporate projects.
Lead the day-to-day operations of a trusted Auckland plumbing business known for fast response times, quality workmanship and getting the job done right the first time.
Our client is a well-established Auckland plumbing business, founded in 2016 with a simple goal: to provide honest, high-quality plumbing services with a personal touch. The team works across Auckland, including Waiheke Island, supporting residential and commercial customers with maintenance, emergency plumbing, gasfitting, drainage, roofing, renovations, hot water systems and project work.
As the business continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Operations Manager / Certifying Plumber to join the team. Working closely with the owner, you’ll bring strong operational leadership, technical oversight and a hands-on approach to help maintain the business' reputation for quality workmanship, practical problem-solving and responsive customer service.
Reporting directly to the owner, you'll have the autonomy to manage the operational side of the business, while working alongside an owner focused on its commercial growth.
You’ll lead a team of four plumbers, coordinate daily workloads, maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors, and provide the technical oversight required to certify completed plumbing work.
This is a genuine hands-on leadership role. While your primary focus will be managing the operation, you'll also be willing to jump on the tools when required to support the team during busy periods or staff leave.
Experience working with body corporates, property managers and subcontracted service work will be highly regarded.
