Operations Manager and a Qualified Plumber

We are seeking New Zealand–qualified plumbers (Journeyman or fully qualified) to join our team in Queenstown – New Zealand’s adventure capital. The roles are focused in commercial plumbing and maintenance, with strong potential to step into an Operations Manager role for the right candidate.

As an Operations Manager, you would take on additional responsibilities such as:

  • Managing day-to-day operations across commercial and maintenance projects.
  • Scheduling and coordinating jobs, ensuring projects run efficiently.
  • Leading and supporting the plumbing team, including training apprentices.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Quality control and compliance with New Zealand plumbing and building standards.
  • Overseeing stock, tools, and materials management.
  • Assisting with quotations, job costing, and reporting to management.

These roles are ideal for a qualified plumber who is ready to step up into leadership while still staying hands-on in the trade.

Requirements

What We’re Looking for in the Plumbers Role

  • Current New Zealand plumbing qualification (Journeyman or higher).
  • Experience in drainage and/or gasfitting highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial systems and maintenance practices.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to lead a small team and manage multiple projects.
  • Must hold New Zealand residency or citizenship, would consider working visa assistance for the right person.
  • Willingness to relocate to Queenstown (relocation assistance available).
