The Company

The Role

As part of a flat structure, you will play a key role in enabling the transformation of Network Waitaki's operational technology and communication infrastructure. This will see you managing the SCADA and ADMS that enables the management of the electricity network, in turn ensuring a reliable and efficient system.

Additionally, you will contribute to the strategic direction of field devices and oversee the transition to a fibre-based network of Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs).

Collaborating with Field Technicians and Electrical Engineers, you\'ll also work with external consultants and others in the industry.

About You

With a background in SCADA and Operational Technology, you\'ll come from an industrial background or bring electricity distribution specific experience.

In doing so you will have:

  • Experience in system integration, testing, and commissioning of OT platforms
  • Strong knowledge of real-time systems, communications protocols and device integration
  • Ability to troubleshoot and support complex OT environments across multiple sites/networks
  • A collaborative approach where you enjoy working with a range of stakeholders
  • Exposure to networking and telecommunications (IP networking, fibre, radio, or serial comms) - desirable

Along with a continuous improvement mindset you\'ll hold a tertiary qualification in engineering or related discipline.
