OceanaGold is seeking a Mining Engineer for the Macraes operation in Otago, New Zealand. The role provides professional mining engineering services to the open cut operation, with a residential arrangement in a stunning region.

Key responsibilities include producing designs, maintaining schedules, and assisting with pit wall stability. A NZ working visa is required, with a competitive salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent.
• Full and current Driver Licence; manual preferred.
• Two years’ experience in open pit or underground mining.

Responsibilities

• Produce engineering designs for safe and efficient extraction of material.
• Create stage designs meeting budget and operational requirements.
• Design blast patterns and drill patterns to optimise fragmentation.
