Job summary

OceanaGold is seeking a Civil Surveyor to join the Macraes Open Pit Survey team in Otago, NZ. This residential role offers a drive-in/drive-out option from Dunedin or Oamaru, with Queenstown reachable within a few hours for personal adventures.

You will deliver accurate survey support for mine civil engineering projects, ensuring construction works meet design specs and standards while maintaining data and reporting integrity. A strong set of safety practices is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Surveying preferred.
• 3+ years surveying experience preferred.
• Open pit mining and/or large civil engineering project experience a plus.
• Current Class 1 driver's licence; manual vehicle experience essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertake set-out and as-built surveys on mine civil projects.
• Perform design set-out and as-built surveys ensuring design compliance.
• Conduct deformation monitoring surveys per schedules.
• Maintain survey datasets in a systematic manner and update databases.
• Input monitoring data for internal and external reporting.
