Job summary

Downer Palmerston North is seeking an experienced Pavement Supervisor to lead day-to-day pavement construction, rehabilitation and maintenance activities on site. You will coordinate crews, plant, materials and subcontractors while maintaining safety, quality and productivity.

The role focuses on delivering on-site leadership with strong collaboration to connect field work with project teams. You will drive continuous improvement and build key relationships with clients while upholding Downer’s

Qualifications

• Proven experience supervising pavement, roading, sealing or civil construction crews.
• Sound knowledge of pavement construction and maintenance activities.
• Strong planning, coordination and resource management skills.
• A commitment to health, safety and quality excellence.
• Experience working to programmes, budgets and performance targets.
• Relevant industry licences, tickets or qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Leading pavement construction and maintenance crews to achieve productivity, quality and safety targets.
• Planning and coordinating daily and weekly works programmes.
• Managing labour, plant, materials and subcontractors.
• Monitoring project progress and resolving site issues as they arise.
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
• Ensuring all works are delivered in line with Downers Zero Harm principles.
• Supporting and developing team members to achieve their best.
