Job summary

Silver Fern Farms in Balclutha is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to lead all site H&S activities, including incident investigations, system administration, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role is on-site with a day pattern and occasional night-shift flexibility to fit operations.

You will collaborate with managers and employees to ensure legislative compliance while promoting wellbeing and strong working relationships across the business.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Health & Safety qualification or willingness to work towards one.
• Experience leading safety initiatives and incident investigations.
• Strong reporting and record-keeping capabilities.
• Ability to influence across all levels of the business.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety databases.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives across the site and drive continuous improvement.
• Champion compliance with legislative and company requirements.
• Coordinate incident investigations, reporting and corrective actions.
• Provide practical H&S guidance and build relationships across the business.
• Promote wellbeing and maintain safety records and reporting.
• Monitor and report on health and safety performance.
