Job description

Work in Marlborough, NZ for a well-established organisation with the beautiful Sounds and wine region at your fingertips. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern platforms, low-code tools, and emerging technologies to deliver smarter, more efficient digital services.

About the role

You’ll be a subject matter expert working within our customers shared digital services platforms to deliver innovative, customer-focused online and mobile services that align with their Digital Business Vision and Strategy.

You will support the development and configuration of online services to improve efficiency and enhance customer experience, while mentoring others and ensuring content remains up to date.

You’ll be responsible for:
  • Develop, configure, and test online and mobile services aligned with Council’s digital roadmap.
  • Support and promote platforms like online bookings and hearings, including training users.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver solutions that follow architectural principles.
  • Provide expert support, troubleshoot issues, and liaise with vendors and users.
  • Act as a digital champion, driving innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Assist with web content editing and online communications, including during emergencies.
  • Participate in after-hours standby and emergency response as required.
We’re looking for someone with:
  • Tertiary qualification in IT or related field.
  • Experience with online services and content management systems.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to mentor others and provide expert advice.
  • Knowledge of no-code solutions, XML, and process improvement.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and a team player with good organisational skills.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and digital innovation.

This role is based in Marlborough, and open to those looking to relocate. However they are not open to full time remote working.
