Job summary

Health New Zealand - Te Whatu Ora in New Plymouth is seeking Registered Nurses to join the chemotherapy delivery unit and oncology outpatient team. Up to 1.2 FTE may be available, with 8-hour rostered shifts from 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday, in a new Taranaki Cancer Centre.

The role collaborates with oncologists, haematologists, pharmacists, and administration teams. APC required, with a pathway to postgraduate study and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Recent Medical/Oncology nursing experience.
• Experience in a chemotherapy delivery unit would be an advantage.
• Commitment to self-directed learning and ideally postgraduate studies.
• Excellent patient assessment skills.
• Adaptability, flexibility and motivation to develop knowledge and skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Current Annual Practising Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work in the chemotherapy delivery unit and oncology outpatient clinics.
• Rostered 8-hour shifts between 0800–1700, Monday to Friday.
