Overview

We\'re gearing up for our busiest period with summer around the corner and will be employing multiple Onboard Service Crew on a fixed term part-time basis. Ideally you\'ll be able to work from around the end of September 2025 and work through till the end of April 2026.

About the role

Reporting to the Crew Development Manager, our Onboard Services Crew role is an entry level position onto our fleet of speed passenger vessels. In the role you will showcase your hospitality skills behind our onboard café and provide a very high standard of customer service to both tourists and our regular commuters, whilst also participating in marine drills and learning invaluable skills for future employment.

Responsibilities
  • Providing the highest level of customer service and bar and café services to customers
  • Promoting our products and providing accurate information on our services
  • Ensuring the vessel is ready for boarding by cleaning all areas and restocking products
  • Demonstrating a commitment to health and safety measures onboard
Qualifications / Success criteria
  • Must be over age of 18 to be considered for this role as you will be selling alcohol
  • Be passionate about customer service, the customer experience and tourism/maritime industry
  • Be punctual, reliable and take pride in your appearance
  • Be able to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Have a good level of maturity with the ability to work under pressure
  • Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
Hours of work
  • $28.95 per hour
  • Rotating roster (no set pattern) including public holidays and weekends
  • Need to be available to start on either 13th October or 3rd November (shift based, rotating roster)
  • Available to work until the end of April 2026
  • Need to be available to work over the Christmas and New Year period
  • Need to be available to work full time (40 hours) for the 1st 2 weeks for training
  • Hours of work fall between 8am - 10pm to enable the use of public transport as we don\'t have parking available onsite
