Job summary

PAE is seeking a qualified Plumber to join our Papakura Military Camp team. This role focuses on plumbing maintenance, repairs, inspections, and project work across residential, commercial and operational facilities on site.

You'll perform planned and reactive maintenance to keep plumbing systems safe, compliant and reliable, working with a skilled trades team and contributing to Defence estate operations at Papakura.

Qualifications

• NZ Certificate in Plumbing (Level 4).
• 5+ years' trade-related experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative approach and strong customer focus.
• Full New Zealand Driver Licence (Class 1).
• The ability to obtain and maintain an NZDF Security Clearance and a MOJ Check.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plumbing maintenance, repairs, and installations.
• Respond to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns.
• Complete inspections and preventative maintenance activities.
• Diagnose faults and identify appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate job records and maintenance documentation.
• Manage plumbing materials and equipment effectively.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant standards and regulations.
• Identify and report maintenance issues and asset condition concerns.
• Follow safe work practices and contribute to a positive safety culture.
• Participate in on-call rosters and call-out responses as required.
