Job summary

Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora in Auckland is seeking a dedicated support worker to provide care for clients and families under the direction of registered clinicians. You will help individuals to identify and develop skills to improve recovery and quality of life in the community.

The role is based at Central Auckland (Greenlane Clinical Centre) with a Monday–Friday, full-time, permanent schedule. The Tupu Ora team delivers care for children to adults with eating disorders across community

Qualifications

• Full Driver's Licence.
• Computer literacy.
• Understanding of Mental Illness and Recovery.
• Certificate/Diploma in Mental Health Support Work and/or related fields.
• Experience in working with groups in a mental health setting.
• Excellent verbal and written English.
• Working at Health New Zealand.

Central Auckland location (Greenlane Clinical centre) easily accessible via public transport. This is a Monday to Friday role, Full time, Permanent position. The primary purpose of the role is to provide support care to individual clients and/or their families under the direction of Tupu Ora registered clinicians and to work alongside each individual and/or their family to identify and develop the necessary skills required to improve their process of recovery and quality of life in the community. About the Team / Service / Location

Tupu Ora is a regional specialist service providing assessment and treatment for, children, adolescents and adults with eating disorders. Tupu Ora also provides consultation to and liaison with community services and hospitals in the Metro Auckland and Northland region. Tupu Ora has a continuum of services including community/outpatient, intensive day programme and residential options. The Tupu Ora community team provides specialist treatment to children, adolescents and adults presenting with moderate to severe eating disorders in the community and inpatient setting. Our community team is comprised of both a child and adolescent and an adult team.
