Job description

A dynamic position suitable for an Occupational Therapist seeking a role that offers the right balance of autonomy and team work.

About The Role

Join a supportive, nationwide rehab provider as the sole Occupational Therapist in their Whakatāne clinic, working independently while being backed by a wider multidisciplinary team across the region. This is a full-time, community-based role where you'll provide rehabilitation, assessments, and intervention to help clients regain independence following injury or illness. You'll enjoy professional autonomy, varied ACC caseloads, and flexible working options including hybrid work for reporting.

Key Details

Location: Whakatāne (community)

Hours: Full-time - core business hours

Remuneration: Starting salary $72K-$75K for new grads

Bonus: Fortnightly performance bonus + capacity-based profit share

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver functional assessments, concussion rehab, vocational and social rehab across a range of ACC contracts (training provided if needed)
  • Empower clients to build independence in their homes, work, and communities
  • Write up reports and assessments from home in a hybrid capacity
  • Liaise with a remote multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic client care
  • Provide education, support, and practical equipment recommendations
  • Manage a varied caseload with the autonomy to tailor your practice

Skills & Experience

Candidates MUST hold:

  • An NZ OT Registration & APC
  • A Restricted or Full NZ Drivers Licence
