Join our Palmerston North team and build your career in occupational health and vocational rehabilitation, helping people stay well, manage pain and return safely to work.
This varied role will see you working directly with clients in workplaces and community settings, helping them build confidence, manage their recovery and achieve practical return-to-work goals. You’ll be part of a collaborative network of GPs, specialists, employers and other health professionals, all working together to support meaningful, sustainable outcomes for clients.
New to vocational rehabilitation? That's okay. You don't need previous experience in this area to succeed. We'll provide structured mentoring, training and support to help you develop your skills in occupational health, workplace assessment and vocational rehabilitation.
You will also have the opportunity to work across a range of vocational and community contracts, giving you variety in your day-to-day work and the chance to build a broad range of clinical and rehabilitation skills.
Looking for flexibility? We're open to full-time or part-time arrangements of 3-5 days per week for the right person.
We're ideally looking for an OT with 2+ years' clinical experience, but we're open to considering clinicians earlier in their careers who demonstrate the right skills, attitude and interest in vocational rehabilitation.
To be successful in this role you will have:
You’ll work alongside physiotherapists, psychologists, hand therapists, a nurse practitioner, dietitian and other clinicians, with established relationships across the local specialist network.
Our team culture is positive, inclusive, and supportive - we work hard, have a laugh, and enjoy great coffee from the many nearby cafes!
We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If shortlisted, you’ll be invited to notify us of any cultural or individual needs so we can support you appropriately throughout the interview process.
Note: We may begin interviewing suitable candidates before the closing date and could fill the role early.
