Laura Fergusson Brain Trust in Christchurch, South Island, seeks dynamic occupational therapists to join our skilled interdisciplinary team. You will contribute to assessment, rehabilitation and equipment prescription across Canterbury, serving clients with brain, spinal cord or complex injuries.

We offer one-to-one education and supervision in new learning areas, competitive remuneration, professional development and APC reimbursement (pro-rata).

Qualifications

  • Must be registered with the Occupational Therapy Board and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
  • Experience in brain injury or spinal cord injury rehabilitation is valued; training can be provided for the right person.

Responsibilities

  • Join our interdisciplinary team providing assessment and rehabilitation services across Canterbury.
  • Work in the assessment team (wheelchair and seating and rehab equipment prescription) or in community rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate with clients and families to develop individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Travel as required and maintain effective time management.

We have a number of exciting opportunities for enthusiastic occupational therapists (OT) to join our highly skilled interdisciplinary team. We provide a range of assessment and rehabilitation services across Canterbury, specialising in complex injuries. Our client group varies from traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputation and multi-trauma to general orthopaedic injuries, covering all ages. We currently have opportunities within our assessment team (working in wheelchair and seating and other rehab/community equipment prescription) and in our community rehabilitation service.

  • Knowledge of ACC contracts would be preferable but not essential
  • Accreditation in wheelchair and seating – desirable but not essential
  • A valid and clean driver's licence
