Based in Panmure, Sommerville is a leading specialist school with 14 satellite classrooms across Auckland, a community programme for young adults (18–21), and a dedicated Outreach Service. Our students, aged 5 to 21, are at the heart of everything we do—and so is our team.

What we’re looking for:

  • A registered occupational therapist (OTBNZ) with a current practising certificate who brings experience supporting children and young people with diverse needs (preferably in special education)
  • Equipment accreditation or willingness to work towards it
  • Confidence applying for assistive technology through the Ministry of Education or Health
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • A culturally responsive, student-centred approach
  • Commitment to professional growth and wellbeing.
