About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our committed Homecare team. This is a Permanent Full-Time (40 hours per week) role, based in Auckland.

The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives on challenges, makes the best of opportunities, and enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary team.

You will receive comprehensive training, excellent clinical support, and access to ongoing education to complete specific evidence-based reports and rehabilitation techniques.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive needs-based assessments and rehabilitation programmes for a wide range of client types with serious injury, including neurological disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord and nerves, such as stroke, MS and Parkinson's disease.
  • Be responsible and accountable for the provision of high-quality care with the purpose of restoring the client's health to the maximum extent practicable in the client's home or other community-based setting as required.
  • Work independently to plan and implement appropriate and timely treatment plan for clients.

The successful candidate will have:

  • An Occupational Therapy qualification with a current practicing certificate.
  • 2-4 years of post-graduate experience with ACC contracts TI /SRNA ideally working with complex neurological client groups (SCI/TBI) in the community, or have a keen interest in neurological and cognitive is preferred.
  • Experience with wheelchair and seating assessments, Housing and/or Support Needs Assessments
  • Good time management and relationship building skills.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • A commitment to providing the best service delivery to our clients.
  • Current full driver license.
  • The ability to travel around the greater Auckland area.
