About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an outstanding health professional to join us in the role of Occupational Health Technician and being your new career in occupational health. In this supported but autonomous role, you will be delivering first aid training courses and health screening services across the Waikato region, and occasionally beyond.

You will be working a minimum 80 hours per fortnight. Additional hours are paid at time and a half.

You don't necessarily have to have occupational health experience as we provide a comprehensive training programme, but you must have a health-related degree e.g. Health Science, Sports Science. We are open to new graduates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver first aid training courses in a group setting
  • Deliver occupational health screening services (pre-employment, annual checks, drug and alcohol testing)
  • Ensure compliance with external and internal processes
  • Data entry - must be tech savvy
  • Travel across the region to worksites, with the occasional night away
The Successful Candidate Will Have The Following
  • The right to work in New Zealand – no visa sponsorship available
  • A current clean Full New Zealand Driver's Licence
  • A tertiary health or sport and exercise-related qualification
  • A passion for people and preventative health care
  • The ability to deliver health education in a manner that is engaging and interactive
  • The ability to work at a fast pace and keep to schedule
  • Strong tech savviness as we are highly reliant on technology
  • Flexibility across the working fortnight, able to do early starts and late finishes at times, stay overnight if required and work the odd Saturday
