Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Auckland invites applications for an accredited training position in Obstetric Medicine (Maternal Medicine). This is the only full-time, SOMANZ-certified obstetric medicine training post in New Zealand, and is available from Feb 2027 to Jan 2028 (two 6-month blocks or one 12-month block).
You will join a busy, multidisciplinary team caring for pregnant women with medical problems or complications, with the aim of pursuing Advanced Training.

Obstetric Medicine (Maternal Medicine) is an exciting and challenging subspecialty of internal medicine which integrates care by obstetric physicians (specialists in internal medicine) with that of the multidisciplinary team consisting obstetricians, maternal fetal medicine specialists, midwives and allied health workers, to provide care for women with medical problems in pregnancy or women who develop medical complications during pregnancy.
