Job summary

Canstaff is assisting a client in Mid Canterbury to hire a skilled NZ Certified Drainlayer. The role focuses on planning, installing and maintaining drainage systems, reading civil drawings, and coordinating with trades on-site. Strong safety discipline and teamwork are essential.

You will operate road-going and site machinery and contribute to project quality and timely delivery. The successful candidate will join a dedicated civil team, with a strong emphasis on health and safety and a genuine

Qualifications

• NZ Certified Drainlayer qualification is required.
• Minimum of 2 years post-trade experience in civil works.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction processes and how drainage integrates with other trades.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to health and safety.
