Job summary

Zealandia Horticulture is hiring Plant Nursery Workers and Forklift Operators for Heathcote or Belfast in Christchurch. This seasonal role runs through to February 2027 with full training provided. A forklift licence is advantageous.

The work is physical, includes lifting up to 20 kg, hand transplanting, labeling, stock movement, and order preparation, plus skilled forklift tasks. You must have working rights and be available for weekends and early starts, and indicate your preferred location in

Plant Nursery Workers & Forklift Operators - Heathcote or Belfast

• Immediate start and available to work through to February 2027
• Forklift licence and experience is an advantage
• Physical work - lots of bending, twisting and lifting of product (20kg max)

We are looking for energetic team players, to join our team for the busy Spring and Summer period though to February 2027.

You must have working rights and be already living in Christchurch to be considered.

No plant growing experience necessary - full training provided. You must have proven work experience in a physically demanding job or fast production line work.

A typical day may include any of these tasks:

• Hand transplanting and labelling on a production line - you'll need to be fast and nimble
• Lifting up to 20kg - crates of potted plants
• Moving plant stock - this is physical work with lots of bending, twisting and lifting
• Order picking and preparing orders ready for dispatch
• Skilled, precise forklift work

Are you a skilled Forklift Operator?

We are very keen to hear from candidates with a forklift licence and experience in intricate forklift operation with a strong focus on safety, accuracy, and careful handling of product.

Here's what we need:

• Dexterity and speed with a sharp attention to detail
• Good energy and stamina
• Experience in fast production line work
• Proven work experience in physical, manual work
• You must be flexible for weekend work and early starts
• You must be able to work the entire period through to February 2026
