Through integration and collaboration, we're building a health system underpinned by partnership, equity, sustainability, whānau-centred care, and excellence.

About the Role

We are a Level 6 Emergency Service, dedicated to delivering acute and emergent care within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Our commitment is to provide consistently high-quality, safe care for patients and their whānau. As part of our team, we aim to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for our nurses. We offer an educational platform designed to equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to care for patients across a broad spectrum - adult, paediatric, medical, trauma, and mental health within Te Pae Tiaki.

In your role as a Nurse Educator, you will mentor and support nurses at all stages of their professional journey - whether they are new graduates, transitioning into the Emergency Department, or moving into advanced areas like Resuscitation or Triage. You will also lead lectures and workshops as part of our structured study days, which are essential to ED learning.

Our teaching approach is hands‑on and tailored to adult learners, encouraging innovation, critical thinking, and practical application. We pride ourselves on modelling excellence in nursing practice and professionalism. Our goal is to provide an educational experience that empowers nurses with transferable skills and knowledge, enabling them to excel in their clinical roles. We are committed to helping our nurses be their best.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
