Job summary

Pathways Health Ltd in Nelson is seeking Youth Workers to join our youth-focused team for awake night shifts from 11:00pm to 7:30am. Two vacancies are available, with options for part-time or full-time and negotiable shift days.

You will support taiohi aged 12–18 in a homelike environment, helping them develop life skills, set goals, and build wellbeing, resilience and confidence, at the Salisbury Road respite facility and other services as needed.

Qualifications

• Hold a National Certificate in Mental Health & Addiction Support Work (Level 4) or equivalent.
• National Certificate in Youth Work (Level 4) or equivalent.
• Health & Wellbeing qualification or higher tertiary qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support taiohi in a home-like environment to develop life skills.
• Assist with goal planning, wellbeing, resilience and confidence.
• Engage in de-escalation and relationship-building with youth.
