Job summary

Higgins is seeking a Roadmarking Assistant to join our Wellington-based team to deliver roadmarking and pavement marking services across the region. This permanent, full-time role offers guaranteed hours and opportunities to learn from experienced Roadmarking Operators on local road and infrastructure projects.

The role is predominantly night shift, with some day and weekend work. You will assist with markings application, site preparation, traffic management support, and routine vehicle

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Full Class 1 Driver Licence.
• Ability to work regular night shifts and adapt to night-time work.
• Commitment to health and safety on site.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the application of road markings and pavement markings
• Preparing materials, equipment, and vehicles for daily operations
• Supporting the setup and pack down of work sites
• Assisting with traffic management activities where required
• Carrying out routine cleaning and maintenance of vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
• Working closely with Roadmarking Operators and Supervisors
• Undertaking general labouring duties as required
• Working predominantly night shifts, with occasional day and weekend work
• Contributing to a positive team culture and safe work environment
