Job summary

Quality Bakers Auckland, part of Goodman Fielder NZ, is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead site operations on the night shift. You will drive safe, efficient manufacturing and develop a high-performing production team.

The role focuses on safety culture, GMP and food safety compliance, and continuous improvement to meet daily orders while reducing waste and downtime. Excellent English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing leadership with outcomes in DIFOT, HSE and cost management.
• Broad background in food/pharma manufacturing; GMP and food safety knowledge.
• Degree in science/engineering; Level 4 Plant Baking beneficial.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture, ensure compliance and zero-harm mindset.
• Drive quality assurance, GMP and food safety improvements.
• Achieve targeted efficiency: productivity, downtime, waste, OEE.
• Develop leaders and engage teams; support CI initiatives.
• Foster cost management and continuous improvement.
