Job summary

Tasti Products Ltd in New Zealand is seeking a reliable Packing Operator to join our Nut Bar production team on the night shift (00:20 – 08:20). This is a hands-on role where speed, accuracy, and adherence to food safety are essential.

You will set up and operate packing equipment, inspect product quality, and maintain production flow while following health and safety procedures. Prior machine operating or manufacturing experience is preferred, with a focus on teamwork and reliability.

Qualifications

• Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Food manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.
• Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, along with basic computer literacy.
• Practical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate packing machinery in line with production requirements.
• Maintain production speed while meeting quality standards.
• Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and report faults as required.
• Clean packing equipment and work areas to ensure food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Follow all food safety, quality, and health & safety procedures.
