Job summary

Keith Andrews Trucks in Auckland is seeking a skilled Heavy Diesel Technician for a Monday-Friday night shift (12:30pm-10:00pm). You’ll diagnose faults, service and repair diesel engines across a range of heavy vehicles, working in a well-equipped workshop and keeping customers’ fleets on the road.

You’ll bring 3+ years of relevant experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety. The role offers an attractive hourly rate, on-site benefits, and ongoing manufacturer training

Qualifications

• Qualified Heavy Diesel / Automotive Technician.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with diesel engines or heavy vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety and workshop best practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults across diesel engines and vehicle systems.
• Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Complete job documentation and maintain accurate service records.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and customers regarding repairs.
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient workshop environment.
