Job summary

Steel & Tube Holdings Ltd is seeking a galvaniser for the Te Rapa, Hamilton site. This full-time, permanent role covers the complete galvanising process on a night shift, from prep to finish. You’ll be trained on the job, work safely with heat, chemicals, and heavy lifting, and contribute to durable steel products nationwide.

No prior galvanising experience is required, but a proactive attitude, reliability, and safety focus are essential. Forklift and crane experience are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Reliability, punctuality and teamwork are essential.
• Willingness to learn and follow safety procedures.
• Experience with heavy physical work is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare steel in the black end and segregate items for safety.
• Maintain acid baths for effective pickling.
• Dip steel into molten zinc, inspect and finish on the white end; pack and stack responsibly.
