Job summary

Auckland Council’s Parks & Community Service team invites applications for a 5-month fixed-term Night Caretaker at Whangateau Holiday Park. This part-time role is 36 hours per week across three 12-hour night shifts, from 9 November 2026 to 2 April 2027.

You will rotate nights, typically 8:00pm–8:00am, with shifts including weekends and holidays. The role emphasizes guest assistance, park security, and night-time operational duties, with a friendly, proactive, and collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in security, hospitality or caretaker roles preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and a calm, helpful demeanor.
• Able to work independently during night shifts and handle late check-ins.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking park security and managing noise levels.
• Assist guests with late check-ins and provide support during the night.
• Administrative duties including locking up and cleaning when needed.
