New Installation / Modernisation Field Technician (Fitter)

Your main responsibilities

As New Installation / Modernisation Field Technician (Fitter), you will be responsible for the installation of new and modernised lifts and escalators across our customer sites.

Your key accountabilities will include:

• Execute the installation of new and modernized lift/escalator applying the methods established by Schindler ensuring the achievement of performance targets.
• Ensuring work sites are set-up, kept tidy and that all paperwork is up to date
• Carry out site surveys
• Perform all works according to Schindler standards, including quality and safety policies.

What you bring

You will ideally have previous experience in the lift industry in a similar role and a working knowledge of the lift codes and standards.

You will also possess:

• Acurrent NZ electrical licence (Electrician or Electrical Installer) or Strong Mechanical/Fitter Turner experience
• Eligibility to work permanently in New Zealand (citizen or permanent resident)
• NZ Driver's license
• Outstanding communication skills and customer service etiquette
• Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Apps (Excel, Outlook, Word)
• An uncompromising commitment to quality workand safety policies and procedures
