Job summary

Maungakaramea School in Northland is seeking a certificated teacher for a full-time fixed-term role covering Years 1–8. The position starts 28 January 2027 and ends 15 December 2027, with potential roll growth noted.

You will deliver high-quality classroom practice grounded in structured literacy and numeracy, build warm relationships with tamariki and whānau, and weave Te Reo Māori and Mātauranga Māori into daily learning. A supportive rural kura with strong community involvement awaits.

• Holds a valid NZ teaching qualification and current practicing certificate.
