We are seeking a teacher who brings warmth, structure, and enthusiasm to the classroom, fostering trusting partnerships with whānau and contributing to a supportive and collaborative staff team.

We are seeking a dedicated new entrant teacher to join our team in a permanent, full-time position beginning term 1 2026.

In this role, you will:

  • Build a calm, caring classroom where tamariki feel secure, capable, and excited about learning
  • Deliver high-quality programmes grounded in structured literacy and the science of learning
  • Draw on principles of Te Whāriki to support smooth, positive transitions from early learning into school
  • Establish clear routines and engaging learning experiences that nurture confidence, curiosity, and independence
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to strengthen our PB4L practice and uphold our school values.
We are looking for someone who:
  • Holds a current NZ teaching registration and practising certificate
  • Understands early learning development and the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum (Early Level 1)
  • Shows strong commitment to structured literacy and evidence-based teaching
  • Values consistency, routines, and responsive relationships as keys to learner success
  • Communicates effectively with tamariki, whānau, and colleagues
  • Is reflective, organised, and motivated to keep learning professionally
  • Actively models and promotes our PB4L values across school life
