Join our team in South Taranaki as a Network Operator and play a crucial role in maintaining our community's wastewater infrastructure. The Network Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining water, wastewater and stormwater networks. The Network Operator is to ensure service delivery demonstrates Veolia’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and customer service while meeting performance and key performance indicators and applying health and safety procedures.

What you'll be responsible for

• Maintenance and repair of the water reticulation network
• Installation and repair of water metres
• Repair of burst water mains
• Act as a point of contact for customer requests for service. Appropriately respond to these in a timely manner, assessing and coordinating remedial action if required.
• Accurately log all reports and jobs, completing the necessary paperwork and filing where required
• Participate in the development and implementation of Capital Works improvement programs
• Provide network operations support to the Technical Engineer and Supervisor undertaking minor repairs, assisting with major repairs and replacing reticulated pipelines
• Positively contribute to the district based operations teams by fostering effective working relationships with field, engineering and management staff, client representatives and customers and suppliers.
• Undertake such general duties as required for the effective provision of services to the client and customers
