Job summary

Hillsborough School in Auckland invites a passionate Year 0/1 teacher with leadership aspirations to join our supportive, collaborative team. You will lead a small NE/Y1 teaching team while continuing to deliver excellent early learning under NZ curricula and BSLA literacy methods.

You will receive leadership coaching, meaningful professional development, and opportunities to partner with whānau to support our tamariki's start to schooling.

Qualifications

• Experience implementing BSLA literacy strategies.
• Up-to-date knowledge of NZ Maths and English curricula.
• Adaptive and inclusive teaching for diverse learners.
• Ability to build open, trusting relationships with colleagues.
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to lead small teaching teams.
• Strong communication with whānau and partnerships with learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead a small NE/Y1 teaching team to plan, coach and support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide high-quality teaching aligned to NZ curricula.
• Support professional development and leadership coaching.
• Engage with whānau to partner in learners' success.
