Babcock subsidiary Marine Industrial Design is looking for a Naval Architect L2 or L3 to join the team based in its Whangarei offices.

As a Naval Architect (Level 2 or 3), you’ll contribute to complex ship design, repairs, and upgrades for both commercial and defence vessels. About you

You are a confident and technically skilled naval architect who thrives on solving marine design challenges. You’re experienced with CAD and engineering tools, comfortable delivering projects, and always up for mentoring others. With solid experience in shipbuilding or refits, you understand compliance, design standards, and customer needs. You enjoy being part of a collaborative team and aren’t afraid to step up when leadership is needed. If you’re driven by precision, responsibility, and impact — this role is made for you.
